When I say "Deeeeeep," I of course mean deeeeeeply stupid.
Biden Inc has spent the last two years attempting to spin the collapse of the cover-up of Joe Biden's cognitive incompetence in office, to no avail. The exposure of Biden's cognitive incapacity shocked no one who had watched Biden during the entirety of his presidency, at least since the Easter Bunny ordered him off a rope line in April 2022. Biden's weirdly detached interview with George Stephanopoulos after the Kabul debacle in August 2021 was another marker that something organic was going on. All during that period, and right up until June 27, 2024, the White House and the Bidens kept telling people to believe Joe was Sharp As a Tack™ and to stop believing the evidence of dementia in front of their own lying eyes.
Jill Biden can't let go of the cover-up, in part because any interview she does forces the subject back on the table. Yesterday, entrepreneur-turned-podcaster (?) Jamie Kern Lima broached the subject in her tete-a-tete with the former First Lady, and the two of them mulled over the excuses, er, possible explanations for Joe's disastrous debate performance. When Lima suggests that someone may have drugged Biden's drink before the debate, Jill Biden responds, "Who knows, right?" Via Twitchy:
Jill Biden won't rule out Joe's drink being "laced" before his debate with Trump:

Ahem. Everyone knows, Mrs. Biden. Everyone knows.
However, I think we should take the former First Lady at her word. Let's seize all records from those around Joe at the time, including all members of Biden Inc, to see who may have slipped Joe this purported mickey. Given the omnipresent Secret Service protection around any president, it would have taken quite an elaborate effort to drug him just before the debate in a way that would make him look senile but leave him standing so he could participate. I'm sure the Bidens will waive any claims to executive privilege in order to give investigators a clear look at the circumstances in which Mr. Sharp As a Tack™ wound up looking every bit as lost on that debate stage as he'd looked on every stage for the previous two or more years.
That way, we can also confirm that the shock, shock expressed by "Dr. Jill," Hunter, and the White House aides at his performance was genuine – and not the panic of fraud conspirators after their cover-up collapsed. Given Jill's mystification after these two years, we should expect full and enthusiastic cooperation. Right? After all ... who knows, right? Who knows?
This kind of dodge didn't work for Nancy Pelosi earlier this month, and it's certainly not going to suffice for those within the Biden Regency's inner circle. Pelosi made that clear by throwing the Bidens and the White House under the bus at a Politico event, telling the audience that she barely interacted with Biden after stepping down as House caucus leader and that people who knew should have spoken up. That was nonsense, as I wrote at the time:
Pelosi was House Speaker in 2022 when this [Easter Bunny incident] happened. She claims now that losing the gavel meant less time spent with Biden, which is debatable. What's very clear is that Pelosi was around for this decline in the very time frame she cites, and said nothing at all about it – even when Biden ran for a second term.
By the next year, Biden's mental and physical decline had alarmed donors at fundraisers, and aides began planning to use a wheelchair for Biden in a second term to keep him from injuring himself. His former chief of staff, Ron Klain, belatedly admitted that Biden was not "politically viable" during his last year in office, and yet Democrats still kept trying to foist a second term on the American electorate. The month before the debate that Pelosi claims opened her eyes to Biden's incompetency, the demands for answers to Biden's clearly aphasiac public episodes produced the now-infamous "cheap fakes" claim from the White House, in which they argued that video clips were deceptive and that Biden was still Sharp As a Tack™.
A full fourteen months before the debate, the Wall Street Journal's editorial board declared that Biden was not competent enough to run for a second term, and that they had grave doubts about his competence to continue in office at all.
Pelosi's decision to help cover up Biden's dementia was bad enough. Jill Biden is one of the architects of the cover-up, and still wants to perpetuate it with ever-more-outlandish cover stories. No one slipped Biden a mickey on debate night; Biden was sundowning as those afflicted with age-related cognitive issues do, and demonstrated very clearly why aides rarely engaged Biden after mid-afternoon – a nugget that only emerged after the debate.
Jill Biden is desperate to restore the cash flow to Biden Inc. That's all this is.
