Bari Weiss Is a Terrible Jewish Person, Ad Nauseam Edition

Social media

What it boiled down to is that CBS News (mind you, one would think NEWS would be the operative word here, but it hasn't been for so long. People got kinda used to the crappy CBS) found some deleted old tweets from that dashing Islamic senate candidate from Michigan that might be construed as unhelpful to his campaign, depending on what jaundiced eye was reading them.

And Bari Weiss, the NEWS editor-in-chief, put them out there for the world.

Thinking, oh, I, maybe, what the heck. Maybe she thought that they were NEWS.

I know, I know.

DON'T TALK CRAZY TALK!

John had a good post on the start of this nutsiness as it exploded late yesterday evening.

...So, again, my take is this isn't helping El-Sayed but it's also not ending his run or anything like that. But a lot of left-wing Democrats seem to still have a hangover from last week's discussion of El-Sayed and Hasan Piker. Many of them are denouncing CBS News as a chorus.

To my admittedly cynical eye, a lot of them were sounding just like Hasan Piker.

ZIONISTS!

For reporting a newsworthy discovery pertaining to a current U.S. Senate candidate on the eve of September 11??

That makes you a Zi...oh, I get it.

Bari's Jewish.

...El-Sayed wrote on Sept. 11, 2021: "Today, I mourn the 3K lives, 6K injuries, & infrastructural devastation in NYC, perpetuated ignorantly in the name of my faith. Tomorrow, I'll mourn ~1M lives, millions of injuries, & infrastructural devastation in 3 countries, perpetuated ignorantly in the name of my country."

El-Sayed only wrote that five years ago, but he is not anti-American, pro-terrorist, or considered REMOTELY NEWSWORTHY, while Bari Weiss is smeared as ISLAMOPHOBIC for publishing his words?

Are they somehow not relevant today?

Excuse me? The editor-in-chief of the NEWS had the personal audacity to square away a headline instead of gussy it up for a Democrat candidate already in hot water for who he hangs with and what they say?

CALL A WAAHMBULANCE - A JOURNALISM OCCURRED!

Conversely, how are some of these people not flagrant antisemites for their disgusting comments, shrieking about a Jewish woman who accurately had her NEWS division report a man's own words?

The other obvious problem with all the squawking over a case of good, honest journalisming is the selective nature of it.

Sorry that El-Sayed is such a hateful, self-absorbed bonehead that he didn't think to keep his terrorist-loving fingers off the keyboard in case he decided to take another shot at elected office. Maybe even a spot where there'd be tremendous scrutiny of every fart going back twenty years.

But he's the dolt who did this - Bari Weiss and Israel didn't do it to him.

And maybe it's the tight black t-shirts or something that's causing this outsized interest and ardent defense of his indefensible five year old tweets. He still hasn't explained his Hasan Piker man-crush.

But you know who isn't getting that same sort of 'how DARE you?!'

Texas Opie.

As Ed posted earlier, there's a feeding frenzy going on with his 2020 and older tweets and video statements right now, and...has a single Democrat noticed? Rushed into the fire to defend him?

I mean, come ON, progressives! Opie's even wearing a black shirt in this thing!

WON'T ANYONE SAVE HIM?!

If his name was Opie Rahman Mustafa, you sure would.

His stuff is just as old as El-Sayed's. Or almost as recent, if you look at it that way.

And it's certainly been catching its fair share of hell on wheels for quite a while.

Texas Senate candidate and rising Democratic star James Talarico was asked about some of his past controversial tweets as he continues to campaign in the Lone Star State.

Talarico took part in a special “Raging Moderates” panel on Saturday at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, where he was asked about his 2020 tweets referring to the “virus of racism” and how White people are guilty of spreading it.

White skin gives me and every white American immunity from the virus. But we spread it wherever we go—through our words, our actions, and our systems. We don’t have to be showing symptoms—like a white hood or a Confederate flag—to be contagious,” Talarico wrote after the death of Ahmaud Arbery.

He added, “The only cure is diagnosing the virus within ourselves and taking dramatic actions to contain the spread. The first small step is proclaiming loudly and unequivocally that #BlackLivesMatter.”

But no one is rushing to defend him.

Seems kind of lopsided to me, or maybe it's just kind of classic, you know?

There's always a new shiny thing, and life isn't fair if you're just the pasty-faced Opie dope with a concave chest.
