I've never really understood the official Democrat Party's rush to join the online and media antics of its low-class, juvenile, smarmy, anti-Semitic, and racist candidates, members, and minions as they mock, scorn, and f-bomb their way through the day for lack of anything constructive, coherent, or encouraging to share.
Just to catch you up in case, with everything else going on, you missed the news, John Phelan lost his job as Secretary of the Navy yesterday. There was kind of an abrupt Xweet from Sean Parnell, of the 'we thank you for your service, good luck' ilk, and we all wondered what he resigned for, only finding out later he'd gotten the boot.
He seemed like a good, enthusiastic sort when he was confirmed - no military background whatsoever, but eager to get going - and in the middle of a conflict, an ouster of that magnitude naturally raised eyebrows. So far, the media story seems to be that Phelan was grinding up against other visions in the Department of War that didn't mesh seamlessly with his.
Navy Secretary John Phelan was fired on Wednesday after months of infighting with senior Pentagon leaders and disagreements over how to revive the Navy’s struggling shipbuilding program.
Mr. Phelan is leaving the Pentagon and the Trump administration effective immediately, wrote Sean Parnell, the Pentagon’s chief spokesman, in a terse statement.
In his role leading the Navy, Mr. Phelan had championed the “Golden Fleet,” a major investment in new ships including a “Trump-class” battleship. But Mr. Phelan’s leadership was marred by feuds with senior leaders in the Pentagon, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg, Pentagon and congressional officials said.
Insiders will know better, and that should emerge in due time.
One of the other hopeful signs I'd seen for the Department of the Navy when Phelan took over had been who was appointed Under Secretary shortly thereafter.
This guy.
Hung Cao: "Let me be very clear to everyone who comes here. Don't ask for the American dream if you're not willing to obey the American laws and embrace the American culture."

RNC: *USA! USA! USA!!* pic.twitter.com/uIMKn4nEga
Hung Cao, whom I've written about a number of times during his previous unsuccessful congressional and senate campaigns, is a sterling example of what the American military offers someone willing to excel.
This is still one of the most compelling and inspiring biographical political ads ever aired.
Upon Phelan's departure, this former Vietnamese refugee, Naval Academy graduate, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) tech, deep-sea diver, SpecOps Officer, and man in constant motion was now the Acting Secretary of the Navy.
In the span of one dramatic day, the U.S. Navy’s top civilian leadership changed hands. Yesterday, Secretary John C. Phelan departed the Trump administration effective immediately. Stepping into the role as Acting Secretary of the Navy is Hung Cao, a retired Navy captain, combat veteran, and former Vietnamese refugee whose life story reads like a quintessential American comeback.
At 54, Cao now oversees the Department of the Navy: nearly one million sailors, Marines, and civilians, plus a budget topping $250 billion. As the chief operating and management officer since his confirmation as Under Secretary in October 2025, he already knew the inner workings of the massive enterprise. Now he leads it during a period of heightened global tensions, including naval operations tied to the Strait of Hormuz and broader Middle East challenges.
...In 1989, Cao enlisted in the Navy as a seaman recruit. He went on to the U.S. Naval Academy, graduating in 1996 with a degree in ocean engineering. He later earned a master’s in applied physics from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2008.
His 30+ year career was anything but ordinary. Specializing in explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and deep-sea diving, he became a qualified Navy Special Operations, Diving, and Salvage Officer, as well as a Naval Parachutist and Surface Warfare Officer.
Highlights include:
To those of us who knew about Hung Cao, knew his record, and who were delighted he'd been asked to be part of the new administration, to see this next step gave us a real charge and hope for an even stronger Navy Department going forward.
Cao's appointment was cheering news to the beleaguered Merchant Marine community, too, and one of its most vocal advocates, my friend Captain John Konrad (who believes Phelan was fired more for dragging his heels on shipbuilding than fights over building battleships in general).
Every other post on my today feed is about @HungCao_VA.

I’m here for the excitement but note… he’s not just talking about rebuilding the Navy. He also wants a “powerful U.S. Merchant Marine”
That matters a lot more than most people realize. 🙌🇺🇸🙌 pic.twitter.com/ea81bwAd8V
The reaction to this truly impressive retired Navy captain's promotion to Acting SecNav has been overwhelmingly positive among the military and merchant marine community I engage with every day.
I mean, it really is the American Dream playing out in front of our eyes. The validation of motivation and opportunity, and the will to excel, not just as a native son, but an adopted one.
To Democrats?
Not so much.
To the DNC, it was time for a 'mock the immigrant with a tiny d**k joke,' with 5'7" Cao next to 6'7" former Governor Glenn Youngkin.
Oh, teehee.

And that is the official X feed of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), mind you.
The bitchy 13-year-old girls running the feed for twee, weepy, whiny DNC chair Ken Martin must have been really cranky after being blasted into outer space and back for the racist and reprehensible cheap shot...
Ah, yes.

Having some non-binary intern make fun of a decorated war veteran.
Good move, Democrats. pic.twitter.com/NSeivLaI3u
...since it did eventually vaporize.
Only, when they had time to reflect, this is what they came up with to replace it.
Oh, this is a YUGE improvement on the 'little d*ck' Xweet.

You all keep going.
You're doing GREAT for a pair of raging premenstrual 13-year-old girls who hate everyone. pic.twitter.com/j50MSVTv6g
Gosh, kids. That's just TONS better.
VURT DA FURK!?
Then again, this is the party that has the candidate with the actual Nazi chest tattoo and salute, and a senior female Dem senator drooling over his hairy body at whistle stops.
Graham Platner (backed by Senator Warren) reportedly has a Nazi SS tattoo on his chest.

He’s now running for U.S. Congress to represent Maine … and questions are swirling about this Nazi-style salute at his event.
Seems Senator Fetterman is spot on: the Democratic Party has… pic.twitter.com/xRzt21trWu
It's no wonder their humor genes are as warped as the rest of their brain cells.
This is another unforgivable outrage Hung Cao has committed besides being a Republican immigrant - mocking the Left.
Someone reacts to the lefts ridiculous hate rhetoric with humor and it’s an issue. You guys can’t even take yourselves serious at this point! Why the heck should we?

So the next time you see a Democrat behaving badly locally, don't be fooled.
They're all like that.
All the way to the top.
You know what runs downhill - that holds true here.
Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
