Hillary Clinton testified for six hours under oath today about her relationship (or lack of one) with creepy pervert Jeffrey Epstein. Afterwards, Hillary dismissed the whole thing as political theater.
Hillary Clinton derided her appearance Thursday before the House Oversight Committee as “political theater” and sharply questioned why the Republican-led panel insisted upon deposing her as part of its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“I don’t know how many times I had to say I did not know Jeffrey Epstein,” Clinton told reporters after hours of closed-door testimony here. “I never went to his island. I never went to his homes, I never went to his offices.”
Clinton acknowledged having known Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell “casually as an acquaintance,” but she said she has no relevant information to provide the committee.
The testimony was held behind closed doors but Hillary published her opening statement on her X account. You can read the whole thing if you're so inclined.

The general takeaway is that Hillary claims not to have known Epstein at all. And really if you think about Clinton and Epstein, Hillary isn't the person you're probably thinking about.
Her testimony was briefly derailed when Benny Johnson posted a leaked photo which had been taken by Rep. Boebert.

This is the first time Hillary has had to answer real questions about Epstein. Clinton does not look happy.

There was a brief interruption as a result.
Mr. Johnson’s post of the photograph showing Mrs. Clinton’s testifying while wearing a weary expression prompted an eruption in the room. Her lawyers vociferously objected and called for journalists to be allowed inside to document the proceedings. House Democrats noted that Republicans had refused to grant the Clintons’ request for a public hearing.
“We are sitting through an incredibly unserious clown show of a deposition,” Representative Yassamin Ansari, Democrat of Arizona, said, claiming Republicans were “more concerned with getting their photo op” than with holding anyone accountable.
Representative Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the committee, said Republicans had broken their own rules by releasing images from inside the room and said it was “gracious” of Mrs. Clinton to agree to continue participating at all...
The leak of the photograph, Mrs. Clinton later told reporters, was “very upsetting, because it suggested that they might violate other of our agreements.”
So what did Republicans have to say about her testimony? The main takeaway seems to be that she dumped the Epstein hot-potato into her husband's lap quite a few times.
“The number of times that she said, ‘I don’t know, you’ll have to ask my husband,’ was more than a dozen,” Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) told reporters after Hillary Clinton’s deposition concluded Thursday.
Republican Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) also told reporters that any specific questions about the Clinton Global Initiative and the relationship the Clintons might have had with Epstein and Maxwell, who is currently in prison, could only be answered by Bill Clinton.
Bill Clinton is scheduled to testify tomorrow morning so maybe his responses will be a bit spicier. Naturally, Politico is already handling this with the "republicans seize" framing.
Republicans are eager to make Bill Clinton their bogeyman, seizing on images of him posing with Epstein and unidentified women that are part of the files released by the Justice Department, either in response to the law passed by Congress or the subpoena issued in August by the Oversight Committee.
In other words, stuff like this:

Why was there a painting of Bill wearing a dress hanging in Epstein's house. We're probably going to get some very Clintonian denials tomorrow.
It's a bit sad that all these years later Hillary is still out there having to defend Bill's bad behavior. And yet, she always does. She always pretends he's innocent when we all know he's not. Here she is today suggesting that Bill had no idea about Epstein's creepy behavior before Epstein was charged in 2008.
HILLARY CLINTON addressed former President Bill Clinton’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein after her deposition. "I think the chronology of the connection that he had with Epstein ended years, several years, before anything about Epstein's criminal activities came to light."
