Whether it is exorbitant business expenses or unaffordable consumer costs, healthcare costs may indeed be the determining “sleeper issue” of the midterms.
A 30 percent increase in consumer health costs projected for next year, on top of increases in employer expenses of 7.2 percent in 2025 and 8.8 percent in 2026 will likely drive many voters to support whoever says they can relieve the burden of this truly unaffordable yet necessary expense.
The problem for voters is no one has a workable answer. Political promises abound, but realistic solutions are absent.
Democrats are doubling down on their disastrous Medicare-for-All proposal. It will cost as much as $40 trillion, admitted Bernie Sanders, thus doubling the national debt.
