Yet again, dogs have proven why they hold the reputation of “man’s best friend.”
On Tuesday, the Leawood Police Department shared bodycam footage on social media of one of their officers being confronted by an unexpected citizen: A little scruffy dog.
The four-legged hero, still wearing its leash, barked at the officer, as if trying to grab his attention.
While others would look at the dog, assume it was lost and take it to a shelter, the officer must have known there had to be more to the story.
In the background, you can see and hear the pup barking at the officer, as if to say, “Follow me!”
According to police, the officer did as he was told and got back into his car to follow the little scruffy dog. It wasn’t until a half block later that the officer arrived at one of the homes in the neighborhood.
