Two hundred and fifty years certainly is something to celebrate and some big cities and small, American towns are doing it up right.
San Diego County, California is not one of these. This “celebration” they have on deck is one for the books. The itinerary was leaked by El Cajon Mayor’, Bill Wells.

Local Tribal stories. Local Latino stories. Local Asian-Pacific Islander stories. Local African-American stories. No time for stories of white Americans of European ancestry who’ve also helped make this nation great over the past 250 years. No time for stories of brave men and women who sacrificed themselves to serve in the Armed Forces and in combat. But, you know who they have included in the line up? Your local LGBTQIA+-/&*WXYZ stories. It’s not enough the LGBTQ crowd had a whole damn month. Now they want Independence Day, too?
