'Inshallah': Piker Brags the Left Controls Talarico As Texas Foils Anti-Semitic Terror Attack

Can we just cut this into an ad in Texas? It even fits within a 60-second TV spot, though perhaps only the first 15 seconds would be enough.

"Hopefully, inshallah, after James Talarico wins," Hasan Piker tells a crowd in this undated clip, and then goes on to heap scorn on Texas as a "no-shari'a state." Piker then goes on to assure the crowd that Talarico will take marching orders from the Marxists and antisemitic activists if he knows what's good for him:

Do Piker and Talarico really want to reopen the debate over shari'a law in Texas? The GOP held a non-binding referendum in its March primary about whether to tolerate its practice in courts and other communities. (Political parties in Texas can add non-binding questions to their primary ballots.) Proposition 10 got endorsed in a 95%/5% landslide. A month earlier, Abbott responded to public outrage over "EPIC City" in North Texas, a Muslim development that planned to implement shari'a law, boosted by the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR):

“The Democrats are being tone deaf to the dangers posed by these foreign terrorist organizations,” Abbott said, pointing specifically to the City of Austin’s recent decision to recognize the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Abbott said his administration’s involvement began after investigations into the proposed “EPIC City” development in North Texas revealed what he described as widespread legal violations and attempts to establish an Islamic-only community—an action prohibited under Texas law. Through that process, Abbott said, the state uncovered CAIR’s involvement in expanding similar efforts in Texas.

“That is one of the things that led to what I documented in my proclamation saying that CAIR is a foreign terrorist organization and must be banned from the state of Texas,” Abbott said.

And on Friday, the state supreme court firmly and unanimously rejected an attempt to enforce a shari'a divorce through state courts. The particulars of this case show exactly why shari'a law is antithetical to the American values of equality and due process:

The Texas Supreme Court has rejected a Houston businessman's attempt to have his "secret" Sharia Law divorce recognized in Texas, ruling that his wife did not receive adequate notice or an opportunity to be heard before the divorce was finalized.

The Friday ruling is the latest chapter in a nearly decade-long divorce saga between Houston real-estate magnate Mohammad Ali Choudhri and his estranged wife Hira Azhar. Per court records, Choudhri obtained a divorce in Pakistan without Azhar's knowledge; she learned of it two years later.

At the heart of the debate are $100 million in shared marital assets and whether the merits of a Pakistani divorce under Sharia law-which does not require wives to be directly notified of divorce-should be recognized in the state of Texas.

The ruling made very clear how shari'a law conflicts with American values:

No foreign judgment is entitled to comity when it contradicts the fundamental guarantees of the Texas and United States Constitutions. For the reasons set out above, the Pakistani proceeding challenged here exemplifies the type of foreign judgment that Texas courts may not enforce. ...

[Footnote] 5 We note that our decision today turns on case-specific considerations in light of settled principles of comity. We do not hold that comity must be denied per se to every foreign judgment that results from notice procedures that differ in any respect from those of Texas. But comity cannot be afforded where, as here, the foreign judgment is the product of a process incompatible with our foundational notions of justice.

Democrats are still tone deaf, it seems. If Piker wants to center the Texas midterm election on shari'a law, that will be fine by Republicans, who apparently need a rallying factor in these midterms. And if the Left's push for shari'a law doesn't do it, perhaps this will:

The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed that officers have foiled a plan to attack the Texas State Capitol in Austin. ...

At around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, DPS SWAT arrested 40-year-old Benny Caldera, Jr., at his residence in Converse, about 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio, Texas DPS said.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, DPS officers spoke to Caldera's friend, who said he "had made verbal threats to assault the Texas State Capitol Building."

Caldera's friend told DPS officers that Caldera said, "I love you, if you don't see me again," and explained that, "I am going to the Capitol and I am going to shoot it up," according to arrest documents.

Arrest documents further state that Caldera told his friend that he was angry at AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committee) and that "these people have to be exterminated."

The Left has mainstreamed a deranged Jew-hatred that has become their own main motivating principle. They do not want to win an election; they want to win a revolution that will destroy constitutional order in Texas and America. Piker is among the vanguard of commissars that will enforce compliance, and Talarico is the stooge that will do what he's told by the revolutionaries. That is exactly what Piker is openly promising, and "street actions" like Caldera's plot are exactly how they want to seize power.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
