Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007. And don't miss Duane's new podcast series and platform, Duane's World!
What stories topped your priority lists this week? The big news this week is the Trump-Xi summit in Beijing. The media claims that Trump came back empty-handed. However, both Duane and I think that Trump got a free hand instead to deal with Iran. China remains notably silent on the issue while Trump issued an ultimatum to Ahmad Vahidi between meetings with Xi.
Next up, we discuss the other war – the redistricting war. That one's going just as well for Democrats as we'd expect. While we recorded, Steve Cohen announced his retirement rather than run in a competitive election. Will Debbie Wasserman Schultz be the next white Democrat to bogart a black district?
Finally, we address Hamas' useful idiots at the New York Times. Will Nicholas Kristof produce any evidence for his amplification of Hamas propaganda? Will the NYT?
Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
