Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007. And don't miss Duane's new podcast series and platform, Duane's World!

What stories topped your priority lists this week? This week, it’s almost all about the war with Iran, for obvious reasons. Duane and I cover the week’s highlights from the war, including the peculiar saga of Mojtaba Khamenei, the most upwardly mobile dead man in the world today. Pete Hegseth called out Iran’s leadership for its hiding act this morning, but that began almost immediately after the first strike of the war two weeks earlier. The pathetic attempts to use Nepo Babytollah as the front man for the military junta provided some much needed humor in a difficult week.

We also discuss the media coverage, especially CNN’s attempts to claim that no plans existed to deal with Iranian attempts to shut down traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Hegseth’s rebuke seems pretty timely, as does the deployment of a Marine expeditionary force. We discuss all of the war issue and related politics at length, and we do fit in a mention of how our use of power has changed the calculations in both China and Cuba.

Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
