You'll Never Guess the Nationality of the Belfast Attempted Beheading 'Suspect'

A Northern Ireland man is in critical condition after he was attacked on the street. A migrant tried to behead him.

You may be shocked to learn that it was not a fellow Briton, but a Sudanese man who tried to cut his head off.

The original reports had the violent Muslim being Somali; it turns out he was Sudanese, which is not exactly better. An African Muslim migrant attempted to behead an Irishman. Tomato, tomahto.

Diversity is our strength, you know.

A 'Somali' man has been arrested after an attempted 'beheading' in Belfast last night.

The graphic scenes of violence unfolded outside an apartment block on Kinnaird Avenue, in the north of the city, at around 10.30pm on Monday.

Hero bystanders were seen attempting to intervene, with one seen striking the man repeatedly with a hurling stick. Others in the footage wrestled the suspected attacker to the ground.

A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries to his face, neck and back, and is said to be in a 'critical' condition.

A man in his 30s, who police say is believed to be Somali, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Police have declared the attack a 'critical incident' and are urgently investigating, with both men said to live locally.

Of course, it's not just insane Sudanese who are wandering around Belfast trying to kill people. This attack follows one that happened a few days ago in which a Libyan man charged at police waving a knife and shouting "Allahu Akbar," which I am pretty sure means "Peace Be Upon You," although I really should check on that translation.

Really, though. It has been almost a week since that last attack by a Muslim migrant, so what's the big deal?

You would think that such a horrific attack would be leading the news—it was caught on videotape, including bystanders who rushed to save the man by hitting him repeatedly and alerting nearby police—but no, the papers largely ignored it.

I've viewed the video, which is available online, and I wouldn't recommend it. The attacker was shouting something, but I couldn't make it out.

It's not like there is a raging debate about the wave of migrants that have washed ashore over the past few years, or the supposed benefits of importing African and South Asian Muslims to the United Kingdom. Why would anybody be interested in such trivia when the World Cup is being played half a world away?

You do have to hand it to the Belfast police—and I mean that, given how it has become usual for the authorities to move heaven and earth to hide the identity of suspects or perpetrators in horrific crimes if doing so is inconvenient to The Narrative™—they actually identified the man as an asylum seeker as soon as they knew who it was.

No thanks to the new Mayor of Belfast, though. As she entered office, she announced that highlighting the benefits of diversity was a top priority. Because, as we all know, diversity is our strength.

I understand and sympathize with the initial impulse people had before the massive wave of Muslim migration, to not inflame anger by highlighting each and every incident of crime by Muslims. After all, every collection of human beings will include some criminals. But after decades of experience that show that Muslim migrants, especially from African and 'South Asian' communities, commit horrific crimes at shocking rates, it's long past time to downplay the problem and hide the identity of criminals.

These migrants don't want to integrate—they are quite open about that fact and their contempt for white Britons—and they commit horrific crimes at rates that dwarf those of any other group. That is just a fact, and everybody knows it. Pretending otherwise makes things infinitely worse. It doesn't reduce prejudice to acknowledge the obvious; it allows for open debate about how to address the problem.

There will be marches tonight in Belfast—you can find people organizing online—and I wouldn't be surprised if there were clashes between police and the protesters. We will be lectured about how telling the truth about what happened will only inflame violence, but the opposite is the case.

People no longer trust the police and the government to deal with obvious problems in a civilized manner, so they are going to start taking matters into their own hands. Denying reality doesn't make it go away, and refusing to take measures to address a serious problem invites others to step in, which makes things much worse.

That horrific video of the Somalian man trying to saw off the head of a man in Belfast is appalling. I won’t post it.

But let’s look at Somalians in the UK, because they are not exactly a peaceful bunch.

Remember Ali Harbi Ali (British-Somali)?

He brazenly walked into the constituency surgery of Conservative MP Sir David Amess in 2021 and stabbed him more than 20 times, killing him.

Remember Essa Suleiman (Somali-born British citizen)?

This one was recent, taking place in 2026 when he stabbed two Jewish men and attempted to kill them. He already had a prior conviction for stabbing a police officer and his dog for which he served a 9 year sentence. What was he doing in the UK at this point.

Remember Abdisamad Adow Sufi and Abdiaziz Ibrahim Elmi?

They were convicted of burglary, robbery, threats to kill and Class A drug dealing. They successfully appealed deportation to Somalia via the European Court of Human Rights in 2011 on human rights grounds

Remember Abdulrahman Mohammed?

A Somali national who has accumulated 23 convictions for 32 offences (including multiple knife crimes) but remains in the UK.

Not to mention the tens of Somalian men who have been convicted of grooming and raping British girls. Too many of these to mention.

So when politicians tell you not to look back in anger or tell you that you should not feel uncomfortable about 170,000 Somalians in the UK you need to push back. This Belfast case is not a one off. It is just the latest and we deserve better.

It would be one thing—not enough, but a step in the right direction—if Muslim criminals were treated exactly the same as everybody else. It would still be predicated on pretending that Muslim migrants committed crimes at similar rates to others in Britain—but the opposite is the case.

Asylum seekers and recent migrants (and their children) get special treatment. They can commit rape and still get off or get light sentences because the authorities bend over backward to accommodate their barbaric foreign values.

Instead, the authorities will come down more harshly on people who notice reality and complain. Not only is this grossly unfair and incompatible with any understanding of justice, it also creates a pressure cooker that will, at some point, explode. People cannot put up with it forever, so they won't.

One of the key benefits of civilization is the replacement of vigilante justice with ordered justice. Vigilantes can be indiscriminate, and is much more likely to generate collective punishment and vendettas. The justice system is supposed to replace rage with reason, but it can't do that if it doesn't acknowledge rightful anger.

It's obvious that the policies of mass migration and sweeping migrant crime under the rug have been a disaster for Britain. The failure to acknowledge that is radicalizing people.
