Nick Kristof Flunks Journalism 101 Again

Nicholas Kristof is clearly smarting from the criticism from within and without The New York Times about his "dog rape" claims.

Those claims are so thinly and badly sourced that, while the newspaper's PR department keeps defending them, the actual news pages of the paper have totally avoided mentioning what would be one of the most explosive stories of 2026.

Does anybody think that the Times' reporters wouldn't love to expose such a story? It hits every Narrative™point they have been playing up for years. But, aside from the rantings of antisemites and schizoids, there is no "there" there.

Now he is at it again, promoting the ridiculous claims of the anti-Israeli/pro-Hamas flotilla freaks of Israel creating a "torture boat," in much the same way that Greta Thunberg pretended she had been abused by Jews when she tried to smuggle "aid" into Israel.

Kristof has nearly 2 million followers, all eager to have their priors confirmed, and he is there to help. As a "journalist" (columnist) from the most prestigious newspaper in the world, he just passes on uncritically whatever propagandists he happens to like, including terrorists and failed suicide bombers who make up crap to the applause of antisemites everywhere.

Israeli Navy intercepts Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters

The Israeli Navy has boarded vessels of the pro-Palestinian “Global Sumud Flotilla” in the Mediterranean Sea.

The convoy consisted of 54 vessels carrying around 500 anti-Israel and pro-Hamas activists from 45 countries.

The ships departed from Turkey on May 14, heading toward Gaza.

These activists are not humanitarians, in the same way that Antifa is not antifascist. Their whole existence is dedicated to destroying Israel, and they know beyond doubt that there is a large group of people desperate to hear how evil Israel is.

So evil that they would create rape dogs and impossible weapons that make people evaporate into thin air. Nick Kristof promoted those  people as well.

If there is one thing you can feel confident about, it is that even soldiers who might be inclined to commit vile acts wouldn't be likely to do so surrounded by others wearing body cameras, and under the watchful gaze of the world, which is deeply aware of the flotilla because propagandists like Kristof are eager to promote accusations like this.

No military has a totally clean record, and the Hamas war has been vicious. No doubt some Israeli soldiers crossed the line. It would be insane to claim otherwise, because bad stuff happens in war.

But uncritically repeating the accusations of activists without doing even the most minimal checking isn't journalism; it's amplification.

For some reason, the anti-Israel crowd is never subject to fact checks. Hamas propaganda gets repeated verbatim, and the "from the River to the Sea" crowd is lionized as brave truth-tellers.

The Nick Kristofs of the world will proclaim their love for Jews, as long as they are dead. Until then, they will slander them as monsters.
